Signs of hope

Have you ever asked for a sign? Take this post as one. If not, here are some reasons why you should recognize them.

How can we be a pessimist in a world we know so little about? - Wayne Dyer

I am not sure when I started taking pictures of them, but I am quite sure that time is not really when I noticed them first. Still making a picture of these little give-aways is my humble way of acknowledging them, cherishing them, and amplifying them.

It started with heart-shaped items, from drops of water in the shower glass, to puddles, stepped-on bubble gum on the sidewalk, rocks, and many more.

The beauty of coming across such things is the timing. Usually, it happens when I am feeling helpless when I am wondering if I made the right decision, when I worry about the future, and when I miss my family. Just when I am more receptive or in need of hope and reassurance. As silly or random as it may sound, I take it as a reminder. Like Esther Hicks would say “Help is on the way”, right?

One time, my mom gave me a sincere but unexpected compliment: “I admire your faith, it's brave of you to choose to believe”, she was not talking about God or religion, she was talking about love.

And this is something that goes hand in hand with hope, choosing to believe, love included.

Whenever I see anything random with the shape of a heart, or lately with the shape of a smile also, I take a few seconds to appreciate it. To thank life- the Universe, God, the Tao, or whatever you choose to call it- for everything good and amazing that has come to my life.

In the end, it is all a matter of perspective, sometimes we get all tangled up in daily life, the “rat race” (as Robert Kiyosaki called it  ), work problems, and interpersonal complications. Unfortunately, these sorts of things can get us so wind up that we lose the sense of what is truly important. As Wayne Dyer explained, then our body will try to find a way to let us know we are choosing the wrong path, and if we don’t listen quite likely it will be until a life-changing, traumatic episode or illness brings us back to our senses and spirit.

So if my subconscious decides to bring into my eye-sight scope any sign to bring me back to the path of gratitude, I try not to take it for granted.

Life indeed is full of beauty, if you choose to see it. And as with any habit, the more you practice it, the better you become a it! Why not give it a chance? My happy streaks are directly related to my ability to focus on what I call the “Everyday goodies”.

Examples you may ask? Somebody calling to cancel a plan you were not thrilled about, your partner surprises you with your favorite treat, finding money in clothes you haven’t worn for a while, having warm blankets in winter time, and so much more!

Tell us, what helps you remember the beauty of life?

I was in tears even before playing the video! Recently started watching Bluey and to be honest I am saviouring every episode, making sure not to rush through them. Luce as a kid would have love it too! Without all the sometimes extreme drama cartoons such as "Candy", "Peline" and the anime series called in Spanish "La Ranita Demetan" displayed. I also remember feeling sad and stressed after watching some of them...But Bluey is so not like that. I am sure this is appreciated by kids and parents equally. Cheers to all healthy, innocent and non invasive copying mechanisms! And thanks for sharing this one! 😍
