Vision-board-enthusiast
I see London, I see France, I see all my future plans!
My mom used to make a vision board every year. She learned the benefits of them in one of her personal development courses. As a Sales Director, she would suggest that her Sales Consultants take the time to make them as well.
Even before I knew what a vision board was, I spent hours browsing old magazines and cutting off the parts I really liked, to make collages. I made them as a hobby and then used them as wrapping paper for cans to use as piggy banks, as pencil holders, and even for gift wrapping.
At different points in L-vi.com history collages made it to the header, menus, business cards, decks, and publicity of this blog.
Me being very visual, became a big fan once I heard about vision boards, and was hooked. Not only did I make my boards year after year, but I also noticed how many parts had materialized.
At my challenging, and hardest years I “was too busy” - I thought- and drifted apart from them. But last year I got back! Yes! And I am so happy that I did! I can gladly say that half of it materialized!
But why do they work?
According to the basics of manifesting, creative visualization is the first step. Think of what you want, imagine having it. And then comes the “tricky” part... obsessing over what you want without limiting yourself with the “how” it will occur. And then let it go… Say what?!
This is the beauty of vision boards, you choose images that remind you of what you want -that is right they don’t have to make sense to other people. And once you nicely glued them together you hang your board in a wall that you see daily.
You may see it in the background while you check emails, while you work, or while you enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. It stays there silently but very present in your subconscious mind, so that your conscious recognizes the opportunities when they come around, and you work towards them.
Gratitude check!
The first step to reaching your goals is to know what you want right? Think of vision boards as a reminder of the goals (or intentions) you have set for yourself.
Last time I visited Mexico I saw my visionboard and it made me so happy. I could very clearly remember my wishes and hopes for the near future at the time I put it together.
I was working so hard on myself to overcome anxiety, stress, and depression, while also being very motivated by my Master's Degree studies. Looking at those cutouts from magazines and catalogs reminded me of my days as an interpreter, and my routines of the time. But mainly it reminded me to be grateful for what I had captured there, worried hard for, and achieved, such as my thesis, my basic German studies, my title, relaunching the blog, and so forth.
In my opinion, the positive effects of visualization boards start from the moment of their planning and design, and last until some time later when we recap the process and enjoy the achievements.
Felicidades!! Muy lindo todo , gracias!!!🥰🤗❤️👏
Gracias!!
Muchas gracias!! Que bonito !!!😇🥰
Felicidades!!!!🥳
I was in tears even before playing the video! Recently started watching Bluey and to be honest I am saviouring every episode, making sure not to rush through them. Luce as a kid would have love it too! Without all the sometimes extreme drama cartoons such as "Candy", "Peline" and the anime series called in Spanish "La Ranita Demetan" displayed. I also remember feeling sad and stressed after watching some of them...But Bluey is so not like that. I am sure this is appreciated by kids and parents equally. Cheers to all healthy, innocent and non invasive copying mechanisms! And thanks for sharing this one! 😍
